This race series is a way to encourage friendly competition, and
appreciation for the runners who participate in our races. Have Fun, and remember: No Whining!
There is no entry fee to participate. Just fill-out a registration form online. You must fill out the free registration, to participate. Your age for the series will be your age
on January 31, 2010. We will keep track of all series competitors using a combined spreadsheet of all of the finish
results of all of the events listed.
There will be quite a few trail races in the 2010 series, culminating
with the "Vet's Day Run" in November. (See list of races here). Keep checking the list of races web page for schedule changes or races added/deleted.
There will also be an optional series shirt for purchase.

SERIES AWARDS
Special
awards will be presented at the end of the season to the overall male and female series champions. Series champions
will be determined based the number of races run, and on age/sex-adjusted accumulated time of the longest distance
race of each race event, using the WMA Age-grading calculator (version 2006). An example of how this works:

PARTICIPATION IS KEY
Not all fast runners or "ringers" will be in
line to win this series. You can win this series by just showing up at all of the events.
SERIES PRIZES
The top 3 male/female series winners will be
determined at the last event of the series (the Vet's Day Run in November 2010). There will be a special trophy/award
ceremony at the Trail Nerds' Holiday Party, but you don't need to be present to receive your award.
Mizuno Running and the Trail Nerds & sponsors
will provide prizes to the overall men's and women's winners, which will include event gift certificates. The overall winners
of the men's and women's races also receive a free entry into each race for the next season.
Raffle prizes for those who have completed at least four races will also be drawn at the awards ceremony. Plan to attend
to be eligible for this drawing.
