Changed starting location, back to old school. In the park.

Ok I promised more details here they are:
- Most exciting, we will have an indoor after party at 11worth Station Brewhouse immediately following the race. In the past we have partied outdoors and its been great but we are changing it up a little. It could be nice out, could be cold, but we know its going to be great down at the Brewhouse. Come on down and stay a while! There are some light food offerings, plenty of amazing beer all brewed in Kansas, and there will be football going I'm sure, although you won't have to worry about missing a second of the Chiefs... they play Monday. And do not forget the Special Brew! Havens 8 Mile Hoppy Wheat!

As for the race:
8 miles, 2 loops. Starts promptly at 8:58am

Quick description:
As you can see the trail winds back and forth through the park.
Start near bathrooms, run down road to the end and enter the trail bearing left.
Follow the rolling trail through the woods crossing an asphalt trail twice.
The second time you cross, it begins up a hill, you will see a big tree with notes on it:
"FIRST TIME HERE GO RIGHT, SECOND TIME UP THE HILL"
So this is the "inner loop" noted in pink.
Short section where there could be some light two-way traffic.

Complete the loop, then when back at sign, up the hill!
Keep an eye out for sharp turns and flags.
We (might?) have enough flags to mark the entire course this year.
When you get to where you entered the trail... come all the way
back to start line, hit the aid if you want, make sure we get
your number, and go out for loop two, hey, you know the course now!



Packet pickup starts at 8:08am.

Aid only at start/finish so you will hit aid at 4 miles

Trail does NOT include the big road hill of last year, maybe next year

Don't worry still lots of hills :)

Park in Sportsfield parking lot. There is a long line of single parking and tons of parking in the big lot. Then a short walk up to just inside the park where we will be starting.

Strict 3 hour cutoff. We will pack up immediately after 3 hours and head to 11worth Station Brewhouse (8 minute drive).
If you finish well before this, which, many will... feel free to head down there or meet us shortly after noon for beer and camaraderie. Technically starts at 12, but if everyone finishes ahead of this we will head there as soon as all racers are finished.

The quiz will be conducted at the brewery. There will be a random free drawing for free stuff at the brewery.
